AN ORDER APPROVING CHANGE OF POLLING PLACE AND/OR PRECINCT
WHEREAS, the County Commission of Fayette County, West Virginia, was heretofore advised of the need to change some precincts and polling places in Fayette County, and said changes may be made whenever the public convenience may require it in accordance with §3-1-7 of the Code of West Virginia, as amended;
WHEREAS these changes were properly noticed in accordance with WV Code §59-3-1 et seq
NOW THEREFORE, Be It and It Is Hereby Resolved and Ordered by the County Commission of Fayette County, West Virginia, as follows:
Precinct 31 – move southern border to follow the railroad tracks to encompass campsites along the south west bank of the river.
Precinct 60 (Hopewell Rd) – move border back off of Osborne creek from Rt 60 to Chestnutburg Rd to ensure all of Hopewell Rd is inside of Precinct 60. This change will be expressed as official exceptions on the various GIS maps used by the county and the Secretary of State.
Precinct 72 – Move border to encompass more of Loops Rd in the precinct.
Precinct 68 – Move border near Sewell Creek Rd to place more of Sewell Creek Rd into the Precinct
Combine Precinct 11 and 12. This precinct shall be called precinct 11 and the polling location shall remain the Lewis Center.
Create NEW Precinct 41 – Will encompass those voters near Deepwater/Boonesborough/Kanawha Falls. The northern border shall follow a midpoint in the Kanawha River to Kanawha Falls then across to the southern border of precinct 31. The southern, eastern, and western borders shall follow the current boundaries of precincts 42, 51, and 46 respectively. Their polling location shall be Brookside Ministries Church of God in Christ, 18419 DEEPWATER MOUNTAIN RD, Mount Carbon, WV, 25139.
These shall be permanenct changes effective with the entry of this order.
