NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of Oak Hill will receive sealed bids until 3:00 p.m. on February 19, 2024, for inspection, Asbestos abatement, and demolition of the following structures:

49 Lincoln St., described as District 9, Map 32, Parcel 547, owned by Community Restoration Worship Center Inc., PO Box 1517, Oak Hill, WV 25901

217 Main St., described as District 9, Map 7, Parcel 169, (*accessory building at rear of main building along Blake Street*), owned by New River Moves, LLC, PO Box 280, Oak Hill, WV 25901.

146 Minden Tipple Rd., described as Lot 147, Blk 9, Minden SD R/S., and situated at District 9, Map 58M, Parcel 164, owned by Martha A & David G Thomas, PO Box 371, Minden, WV 25879.

229 Minden Rd., described as Lot 229, Blk 4, Minden, and situated at District 9, Map 58M, Parcel 4, owned by Robert & Cathy Schoolcraft, PO Box 245, Minden, WV 25879.

76 Arthur St., described as Pt Lot 31/97 Riner Add., District 9, Map 18, Parcels 242, owned by John & Mary Pino, 300 Oyler Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901.

We request sealed proposals be mailed to City of Oak Hill, Attn: REAP Demolition Proposal, PO Box 1245, Oak Hill, WV 25901. Sealed proposals can also be hand delivered to 100 Kelly Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901 by the deadline. Sealed proposals will be opened publicly at the Oak Hill City Council meeting on February 19, 2024, at or shortly after 6:00 p.m.

Each bidder must submit a WV contractor license, and liability insurance (minimum limit of $1,000,000.00). Contractors will adhere to all local, state, and federal law and shall follow all State and Federal Asbestos and other hazardous waste regulations required for demolition, transportation, and disposal; abide by the Asbestos Abatement Licensing Rule as promulgated by the State of WV Div. of Health.

Instructions for bidders
First Step: Print and complete the required intent-to-bid form that is located at the oakhillwv.gov website under latest news. Email the completed form to [email protected] on or before February 13, 2024. You will receive a confirmation of your intent to bid following your email submission. On February 14, 2024, everyone that has presented an intent-to-bid form will receive a group email naming each bidder.

Second Step: Proposals that have not been submitted thru the intent-to-bid notification system will not be accepted. The City of Oak Hill will accept proposals with the required documentation from everyone named in the notification system group email. These proposals must be received before 3 p.m. on February 19, 2024. Submittals after the stated close date and time will be returned unopened.
