NOTICE OF PROPOSED
CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Blue Jay United
Methodist Church)

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after February 28, 2024 QUITCLAIM, GRANT AND CONVEY to Trustees of Blue Jay Fellowship Church that certain lot or parcel of land, situate in Shady Spring District, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and bounded and described as follows, to-wit:

BEGINNING at a stake on east side of Blue Jay road, at a point S. 74° 12’ E. 45.53 feet from Northeast corner of’ A. W. Okes lot, conveyed to him by F. H. Lynch and wife by deed of April 5, 1949, S. 54° 47’ E. 129.84 feet to a stake, thence S. 21° 50’ E. 41.25 feet to a stake on west bank of 131 Beaver Creek, thence up said Creek S. 57° 42’ W. 72.61 feet to a stake; thence leaving the Creek N. 60° 11’ W 133.42 feet to a stake on east side of Blue Jay Road; thence with said roid N. 33° 11’ E. 102.0 feet to the beginning and containing 0.322 acre.

And being the same property conveyed from F. H. Lynch etux to Trustees of the Methodist Church of Blue Jay, by Deed dated June 22, 1949 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia in Deed Book 277, at Page 475, reference to which is hereby made.
SAID Blue Jay United Methodist Church was declared closed effective January 13, 2024 by a vote of a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
