ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Raleigh County Commission on Aging, will accept sealed bids for the replacement of the roof on the Senior Center located at 1614 S. Kanawha St., Beckley, West Virginia, 25801.
This involves removal and disposal of existing roof; decking repairs or replacement; installation of fiberglass shingles; installation of ice and water membrane; installation of underlayment; installation of flashing; repair and paint of wood elements associated with the roof; as shown in the contract documents.
Sealed bids will be received by Raleigh County Commission on Aging, 1614 S. Kanawha St., Beckley, WV 25801, until 3pm on March 27, 2024. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud at the Raleigh County Commission on Aging meeting at 3pm on March 27, 2024. Interested parties are invited to attend.
Prospective bidders may receive copies of the contract documents by contacting Raleigh County Commission on Aging, 1614 S. Kanawha St., Beckley, WV, 25801; phone(304)255-1397. A copy of the documents will be available at that office for inspection.
A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 3pm at the Raleigh County Commission on Aging, 1614 S. Kanawha St., Beckley, West Virginia, 25801.
The Raleigh County Commission on Aging or their agent will negotiate with the contractor to determine the method of contract security best suited for the project. Bids must be made on a lump sum basis.
No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty(30) days after the time of bid opening without the consent of the Owner.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularity therein.
Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, and (2) experience with similar projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. Selected bidder will determined by cost and time involved.
