NOTICE OF FILING OF
PETITION FOR FORFEITURE
The object of this suit is to seek an Order forfeiting the herein-described property pursuant to the
West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act, (Chapter 60A, Article 7, of the West Virginia Code, as amended).
TO: Any claimant of a right or interest in said property.
You have the right to file a claim to the herein-described property on or before April 25, 2024. Any such claim must clearly state the identity of the claimant and an address where legal process can be served
upon said claimant.
1. The property seized and subject of this suit is described as follows:
SIX THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX DOLLARS ($6,826.00) UNITED STATES CURRENCY, and 388 RED STAR HILL ROAD, OAK HILL, FAYETTE COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA; PLATEAU TAXING DISTRICT, TAX MAP 38E, PARCELS 109-112; REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN DEED OF RECORD WITH THE CLERK OF THE COUNTY COMMISSION, FAYETTE COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA IN DEED BOOK NO. 823 AT PAGE 416, RECORDED APRIL 28, 2022, and SMITH AND WESSON SHIELD .40 CALIBER (S/N HRF9199), and JENNINGS J22 .22LR (S/N 385504), and ARMI TA76 (S/N B36512), and TAURUS G2C 9mm (S/N AAM162323), and DAVIS INDUSTRIES D9 (S/N D128965), and DGFM 1927 (S/N 89608), and TAURUS G2C 9mm (S/N ABJ867597), and SIG P365 (S/N 66B670525), and ROHN RG-14 (S/N L540967), and SMITH AND WESSON 22A-1 (S/N UBN8259), and SAVAGE AXIS (S/N N196013), and ROSSI S41 (S/N SP248871), and H&R TOPPER (S/N HY244533), and SEARS 101 (S/N P408351),
2. The law enforcement agency responsible for the seizure is the Central Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
3. The seizure took place on February 7, 2024, at or near Oak Hill, Fayette County, West Virginia.
4. The subject property was in the possession of Owen O. Rogers and/or Jeanette Lafon, at the time of said seizure.
5. After the date for filing of said claims, an Order of the Court directing forfeiture of the seized property to the State and vesting ownership of said property in the State shall be sought.
If you fail to file a claim, thereafter an Order, upon proper hearing, may be entered against you for the relief demanded in the Petition.
A copy of said Petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at his office.
