LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF NITRO REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS The City of Nitro is soliciting sealed bids for exterior repairs and improvements to the Nitro Police Department located at 497 1st Avenue South, Nitro, WV 25143. Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: Masonry repair and tuck pointing on left side of building Installation of window flashing and aluminum drip edge Removal and replacement of left, front, and right metal awnings Installation of new framing, 7/16" sheathing (zip board), underlayment, drip edge, wall flashing, outside corners, and 29-gauge metal roofing Installation of rain diverters, gutters, and downspouts Construction of treated lumber stairs including removal of existing stairs, concrete footers (approx. 36" depth), treated posts, framing, stair stringers, 2×12 treads, and black aluminum handrails Exterior masonry surface preparation includes crack repair, sealing, priming, and application of two finish coats of paint Contractors are required to visit the site and obtain their own field measurements prior to submitting bids. Submission of a bid shall constitute acknowledgment that the contractor has inspected the site and verified all existing conditions. All work must comply with applicable codes. Proof of licensing and insurance required.
