LEGAL NOTICE INVITATION TO BID City of Nitro 2026 Street Asphalt Sealing Project Sealed bids will be received by the City of Nitro up to and including Thursday July 30, 2026, at 3:00pm. SCOPE OF WORK: The project generally consists of providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and traffic control to clean, crack-fill, and apply asphalt seal coat to approximately .7 miles length of 2nd Avenue from 20th Street to 40th Street and entire width which will vary. Please include your traffic control plan and timetable with your bid. REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to visit site and take their own measurements to come up with final square footage to crack-fill and apply asphalt seal coat. Please include specifications of materials to be used in your bid. Bidders must hold a valid West Virginia Contractor's License at the time of bid submission as required by W. Va. Code 30-42. A City of Nitro business license is required prior to start of project. REJECTION OF BIDS: The City of Nitro reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the entity. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Nitro.
