LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC SALE
In accordance with West Virginia State Code, Concord University announces that it will conduct a public sale of surplus items by sealed, written bids. The items to be disposed of by this sale may be viewed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday(February 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, and 20th) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The items in this seal bid are light fixtures, light bulbs, stoves, doors, office furniture, countertops, HVAC items, base board heaters, and other miscellaneous items. Interested parties may contact Loran Morgan at (304) 384-5166 or Karen Gillespie at (304) 384-5158 for any questions concerning the bid process or the items. Prospective bidders must obtain a Concord University bid form. Bid forms are available at the Wooddell Surplus Room, the Maintenance Building, and the Business Office Marsh Hall Room A223. All bid forms MUST BE SIGNED and DATED. Written bids should be clearly marked ATTN: Charles Becker/VPBF/CPO and mailed to Concord University, PO BOX 1000, Athens WV 24712. Bid forms will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on February 28, 2020, in the office of the Vice President for Business and Finance/Chief Procurement Officer (Marsh Hall, Room A227). Bids will be awarded to the highest bidder. The successful bidder will be contacted and will be required to pay and pick up purchased items by 3:00 p.m. March 12, 2020. Payment is required before any items may be removed. Payment is accepted in Marsh Hall at the Cashier Office located on the second floor.
The prospective buyer is responsible for verifying quality and quantity before removing the item. The successful bidder is also responsible for moving and loading all items.
CONCORD UNIVERSITY ACCEPTS CASH, CASHIER CHECKS, DEBIT CARD OR CREDIT CARDS FOR PURCHASED ITEMS FOR PAYMENT. NOTE: ALL ITEMS NOT PAID FOR OR NOT REMOVED FROM CONCORD UNIVERSITY CAMPUS BY 3:00 P.M. MARCH 12, 2020 WILL VOID AN AWARDED BID, AND NO REFUND OF PAYMENT(S) WILL BE AUTHORIZED FOR VOIDED BID(S).
Concord University reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The University takes no responsibility and makes no guarantee for items sold. All items offered for sale on an “AS IS-WHERE-IS” basis. No warranties or guarantees are implied or given.
