ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS McKINLEY ARCHITECTURE + ENGINEERING Sealed Bids for Summers County HS S Addition and Renovation will be received by the Owner, Summers County Board of Education, 418 Temple Street, Hinton, WV 25952, until 1:30 pm local prevailing time on April 4, 2022, at which time and place all accepted bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. After opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness, and cost by the Summers County Board of Education, and its Architect (McKinley Architecture + Engineering). Work Scope: Renovation of existing Library (alternate no. 2), removal of interior ramp – replace with level flooring to enter addition, removal of window and portion of exterior wall, removal of exterior doors at both sides of existing Auditorium. – approximately 2,808 sf renovation with alternate no. 2 – 325 sf of renovation without. Addition – Middle school shall be connected to the existing high school. The middle school will consist of classrooms, administrative suite, mechanical lectrical room, gymnasium, locker rooms, storage, restrooms, science lab, science prep room, science storage room, data room, and twenty (20) tubular skylights in classrooms without windows (alternate no. 1) The addition will close in the exterior space between the gymnasium and the emergency exit out of the existing Auditorium. The addition is approximately 26, 383sf.
