ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS BIRCH RIVER PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT BIRCH RIVER, WV WILSON RIDGE WATERLINE EXTENSION PHASE 2 PROJECT Sealed Bids for the construction of: Wilson Ridge Waterline Extension Phase 2 Project Contract No. 1 – Furnishing all materials, labor, and necessary items for the construction and installation of approximately 16,900 LF of 4″ and smaller diameter water line, valves, individual customer services and other related items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract No. 1 will be received by T.G. Griffith (Chairman – Birch River Public Service District) at the office of the Birch River Public Service District, 95 Powell Creek Road, Birch River, WV 26610, until 2:00 p.m. local time on May 23, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. A pre-bid meeting will be conducted at the Birch River Public Service District office at 11:00 a.m. on May 3, 2022. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 30 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “E.L. Robinson Engineering Company”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The Contractor shall comply with the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act and shall require all subcontractors to comply with that Act. A Contractor’s License Number is to be included on the bid submission. Pursuant to West Virginia Code 5-22-2, requirements stated in the advertisement for bids and the bid form may not be waived by any public entity. T.G.
