REQUEST FOR BID SLIDE DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL Putnam County Parks and Recreation Commission 1 Valley Park Drive Hurricane, WV 25526 justin@ putnamcountyparks.com Ph. 304-964-1510 Introduction Putnam County Parks and Recreation Commission hereby requests bids for demolition, removal and reclaiming the land surrounding of the slide structure at waves of fun water park. Companies with demonstrated experience in demolition are invited to respond. Purpose The purpose of this request for bid is to solicit sealed bid proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation with a suitable vendor to remove the existing slide structure from the premises, fill in the slide pool and return the area back to grass. Scope of work The current slide structure is a large steel support base with a concrete decking, three fiberglass slides, pump house and slide pool. Vendors will have to supply their own machinery and equipment to remove this large structure without damaging the surrounding pool area and structures. a. Vendor will have to acquire permits business permits to operate in the city of Hurricane. Information for bidders 1. Putnam County Parks and Recreation invites sealed bids to be received until end of the business day on May 4th at the Putnam county parks offices at 1 valley park drive. Bids should be in a sealed envelope labeled slide proposal. 2. Putnam County Parks is tax exempt and can provide documentation. 3. Inspection of the site and further details can be obtained by contacting the parks office. 4. The winning bidder will hold the park harmless against damage or personal injury and must hold their own insurance while performing work. LC- 04-21;2022
