REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The West Virginia Water Development Authority will receive sealed proposals at its office (1009 Bullitt Street, Charleston, WV) until 10 a.m. on July 13, 2022 for the WVWDA ELK RIVER SLOPE REPAIR COMPLETION DATE – 180 DAYS FROM RECEIPT OF MATERIALS This project consists primarily of construction of a 125 foot long drilled H-pile retaining wall system consisting of twenty-six (26) wall piles, three (3) dead-man anchors and tie-backs. Also included is the restoration of the asphalt parking lot and grading to promote drainage to existing inlets, removal and replacement of existing fencing, and all necessary incidentals to provide a complete retaining wall system as shown in the plans and specifications. Bids must be in accordance with specifications and on forms available for review at the West Virginia Water Development Authority at 1009 Bullitt Street, Charleston, WV 25301, and can be purchased and obtained at American Geotech, Inc. at 601 Ohio Avenue, Charleston, WV 25302, for a non-refundable cost of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) picked up or One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($125.00) mailed. Make checks payable to American Geotech, Inc. No alternate forms of mailing will be permitted. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 22C-1-6(11) of West Virginia Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or corporation licensed in the State of West Virginia to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Bidders must have completed a minimum of three (3) prior projects using Polymer slurry wet concreting caisson construction methods echniques. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use West Virginia Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, the project requires contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements, WV Jobs Act (SB 103) WV Code 21-1C-1, and Drug Free Workplace WV Code 21-1D-5.
