NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Town of Pratt, a municipal corporation, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 7:15 p.m. prior to the final vote on a proposed ordinance that seeks to increase sewer rates for customers of the sewer system operated by the Town of Pratt. The new rates are as follows: first 2,000 gallons used per month: $17.57 per 1,000 gallons), next 8,000 gallons used per month: $15.44 per 1,000 gallons, next 15,000 gallons used per month: $14.07 per 1,000 gallons, all over 25,000 gallons used per month: 12.52 per 1,000 gallons. Minimum Charge: Each customer shall pay a minimum charge of $35.14 per month, which is equivalent to 2,000 gallons of sewer usage. Unmetered Rate (Customers with non-metered sewer supply) Customers with unmetered service will pay a flat rate of $73.74 per month, which is equivalent to 4,500 gallons of sewer usage. Resale Rate: $3.98 per 1,000 Gallons. Following the public hearing the Town Council will vote on the adoption of said proposed Ordinance in the Council Chambers of the Town of Pratt on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 7:15 p.m. or as soon as the public hearing closes. ORDINANCE 2022-05 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VILLAGE OF BARBOUSRVILLE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING “ARTICLE 929 SEWER REGULATIONS” OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE, AND RELATED MATTERS AUTHORITY UNDER W.Va. Code 8-12-5(32), 8-18-22 – Notice is hereby given by the Village of Barboursville it will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 7:15 pm at City Hall, Council Chambers, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504. The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the Village of Barboursville’s proposed Ordinance to amend “Article 929 Sewer Regulations” of the Codified Ordinance of the Village of Barboursville, the principal object of which is to require the use of public sewers, make it a violation for users to discharge to the sewer system hazardous materials or pollutants or illicitly connect to the sewer system, provide for an administrative notice of violation for users in non-compliance with the sewer regulations, provide for due process, reconsideration and appeal, provide enforcement measures for noncompliance including administrative liens, judicial enforcement, allow the Village to initiate legal and equitable actions seeking damages and costs, and establish both civil and criminal fines and penalties for noncompliance, and such other terms as in the amended regulations, and at such hearing all objections and suggestions shall also be heard and the Village of Barboursville council shall then take such action as it shall deem proper upon an Ordinance titled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 929 SEWER REGULATIONS OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE The information gathered and presented at this public hearing will be utilized by the Village in its discussion and determination on whether to adopt the Ordinance. The Village of Barboursville proposed Ordinance and amendment regulations will be available for public inspection in the City Hall, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504, beginning on June 21 2022, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 7:15 pm and to present oral or written comments concerning the Ordinance at that time. The first reading of the ordinance approving the Ordinance took place at the regularly scheduled Council meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. The second reading of the Ordinance will take place immediately after the public hearing at the regularly scheduled Council meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. If adopted, this Ordinance will take effect on the first day of the month after passage and adoption of this Ordinance.
