No.: WVR111873 Applicant: KOKOSING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. 17531 WATERFORD RD FREDERICKTOWN, OH 43019 Location: SOUTH CHARLESTON, KANAWHA COUNTY Latitude: 38:20:30 Longitude: 81:41:47 Receiving Stream: Davis Creek/l Kanawha River Activity: The project will disturb 21.3 acres and is proposing a waste area to accommodate the approximately 500,000 cubic yards of excess material generated as a result of the adjacent Jefferson Road Improvements Project (NPDES No. WVR110581 and LRH-2020-878-KAN-UNT Davis Creek). The project is located southeast of Jefferson Road (WV 601) and northeast of US 119 (Corridor G) in Kanawha County, West Virginia. The proposed waste area is necessary to provide permanent placement of excess material generated from the adjacent Jefferson Road Improvements Project. Business conducted: Industrial Implementation: N On the basis of review of the application the “Water Pollution Control Act (Chapter 22, Article 11-8(a)),” and the “West Virginia Legislative Rules,” the State of West Virginia will act on the above application. Any interested person may submit written comments on the site registration permit application and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice. Comments received within this period will be considered prior to acting on the permit application. The Director shall hold a public hearing whenever a finding is made, on the basis of requests, that there is a significant degree of public interest on issues relevant to the site registration permit application and this facility’s coverage under the General Permit.
