ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MASON COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT OFFICE OPERATIONS CENTER ADDITION GENERAL NOTICE Mason County Public Service District (owner) is requesting bids for the construction of the following project: Office Operations Center Addition Project Bids for the construction of the project will be received at the Mason County Public Service District Office located at 101 Camden Avenue, Point Pleasant, Mason County, WV 25550, until Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm. At that time the bids received will be publicly opened and read. The project includes the following work: Construct approximately 1500 ft addition to match as closely the existing main office building. Addition includes a 30′ x 22′ conference room; two offices 15′ x 15′; HV C work space attic (approx. 50′ x 30′) with hardwood floor; gabled roof with permanent stairs access. Hallway connecting access (approx. 30′ x 10′); four doors and seven windows; exterior handicapped ingress gress framed ramp. Demolition emoval of brick wall in existing building for access to addition; install an entry door. Foundation tructural construction consisting of reinforced continuous concrete footers; 8″ and 12″ concrete masonry units (CMUs); block walls; lay brick exterior; and construct 3′ crawl space. Install rame the wooden floors w russes and walls; as specified. Install HVAC system including fittings and air handling unit, compressor, supply and return duct work w rilles. Electrical installation will be handled by the owner. Materials, unless otherwise specified, will be purchased by the owner. Contractor will coordinate directly with the owner on the purchase of materials. Schematic design drawings for the construction of the addition will be provided by the owner at the mandatory pre-bid conference to be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 9:00 am at the owner’s office, 101 Camden Avenue, Point Pleasant, WV 25550. Bids will be submitted in a sealed envelope with the following information printed on the front: Name and address of bidder Bid on: “Mason County PSD Addition” “Bid Proposal” Bids must be signed and dated. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for 30 days after the date set for the opening bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Mason County Public Service District in an amount equal to two and half percent (2.5%) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Confirmation in accordance with WV Code 21-10-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per section 30-42-12 of the West Virginia Code. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.
