REQEUST FOR BIDS The Cabell County Commission will accept sealed bids for site work for the new Ona Field Office located at 2726 Howell’s Mill Road, Ona, WV 25545. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on September 14, 2022, at 10:00am in the Commission Chambers at the Cabell County Courthouse to review the site plans. Interested parties are to contact Rosann Brooks at 304-526-8663, Option #5, for the bid form. Proposals shall be sent to the following address: Cabell County Commission, Suite 300, Huntington, WV 25701, on or before Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00am, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud during the County Commission Session at the Cabell County Courthouse, Suite 300. Successful bidder on base bid, will agree to perform the work to completion and ready for occupancy and use with Sixty (60) days of the date of the Owner’s Notice to Proceed. Successful bidder understands that the Owner may retain a sum as set forth as “Liquidated Damages” in the amount of $300 per day for each day thereafter, Weekends and Holidays included, that the Work remains uncompleted, such sum is agreed upon as the proper measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain per diem by the failure of the Contractor to complete the Work in the stipulated time, and the sum is not to be construed in any sense a penalty. A Base Bid Bond will be required. The Cabell County Commission reserves the right, as their request may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in bids received.
