No.: WV0037486 Applicant: UNION PSD PO BOX 7350 CROSS LANES, WV 25356 Location: NITRO, KANAWHA COUNTY Latitude: 38:26:39 Longitude: 81:50:38 Receiving Stream: Kanawha River/l Ohio River Activity: To modify the existing WV PDES permit to incorporate language and limits concerning the land application of sewage sludge. Also, to incorporate the requirements relative to Title 33, Series 2 of the West Virginia Legislative Rules for the processing and disposal of sewage sludge generated by the wastewater treatment plant. Sewage sludge generated and r processed at the permittee’s facility shall be land applied, provided that the sewage sludge shall not be applied in a manner that exceeds the agronomic or lifetime loading rates. The land application sites meet all other regulatory standards and are identified as follows: Jim Summers Farm located at 1393 Haines Branch Road, Sissonville, WV. Also sewage sludge generated and r processed at the permittee’s facility shall be disposed of at a sanitary landfill by placing the sewage sludge in the landfill cell. Any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit modification and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice.
