INVITATION TO BID Cabell County Board of Education invites qualified bidders to HVAC System Upgrades at Altizer and Cox Landing Elementary Schools, Chiller Replacement at Cabell County School Board Office, Glass Block Replacement with Windows and Insulated Panels at Altizer ES, Exterior Door Replacements at Altizer ES and Salt Rock ES (ESSERF PROJECTS). The general scope of work involves the following: Altizer Elementary School 1. Remove existing steam boilers, unit ventilators and associated equipment. 2. Furnish and install new exterior wall mounted packaged air source heat pumps (ASHP) with natural gas heating. Work includes new suspended acoustical panel ceiling to accommodate the ductwork and appurtenances associated with the ASHP. 3. Replacement of Cafeteria ym rooftop unit. 4. Replacement of split system unit serving two offices next to boiler room. 5. Removal and replacement of approximately 2,900 square feet of glass block with new insulated glass and building panels. (Coordination with mechanical work will be required to determine exact location of panels to accommodate new ASHP units.) 6. Replacement of approximately 14 exterior doors (single and double door configurations) including new door closers and security hardware. Cox Landing Elementary School 1. Remove classroom unit ventilators (2-pipe system) and replace with new water source heat pump (WSHP) unit ventilators. 2. Remove existing air-cooled chiller and turnover to Cabell County Schools. 3. Furnish and install new closed loop cooling tower. 4. Replace existing hot water boilers with new high efficiency condensing boilers and associated pumps and appurtenances. 5. Remove existing ground mounted gym afeteria AHU and associated ductwork. 6. Provide and install new packaged rooftop HVAC units for the gym afeteria. Salt Rock Elementary School 1. Replacement of approximately 26 exterior doors (single and double door configurations) including new door closers and security hardware. Cabell County School Board Office 1. Remove and replace air cooled chiller with new. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Walkthrough will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at 8:00 AM at Altizer ES followed by Cox Landing ES, Salt Rock ES and Cabell County School Board Office. Bids are due no later than Close of Business on Monday, October 17 at 3:00 PM electronically via Procore with a Public Bid Opening occurring at 3:30 PM via virtual conference. Potential bidders are encouraged to bid on all or part of the project.
