NOTICE FOR CONSULTING SERVICES (REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS) PUBLISHED: OCTOBER 21, 2022 Notice is hereby given that the B-C-K-P Regional Intergovernmental Council (RIC) is soliciting qualifications for the purpose of completing a Regional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. The RIC will utilize consulting services to complete a Regional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. The Regional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan will propose clearly defined strategies and projects that improve traffic safety, to the extent possible. The RIC is the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Charleston, West Virginia urbanized area, comprising Kanawha and Putnam counties. DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED WORK Work to be performed may include but not be limited to the following: 1. Preparation of a detailed Scope of Work (SOW) for the proposed work 2. Facilitation of public involvement as outlined in the RIC Public Participation Plan 3. Satisfy the objectives and requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program 4. Coordination with the Regional Intergovernmental Council (RIC), government entities, stakeholders, and citizens throughout development of the proposed work 5. Perform any necessary analyses or mapping 6. Preparation and distribution of deliverables in paper and electronic format SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. A letter of interest. 2. A statement of the firm’s qualifications, experience, and overall capabilities relevant to the proposed work including proposed staff assignments and availability. 3. Physical location of the office(s) in which the proposed work will be performed. 4. Amount and type of the proposed work to be subcontracted, if any. 5. A description of the firm’s recent projects or related work, relevant to the proposed project. 6. Contact information (name, address and phone number) of references for the firm’s recent projects or related work, relevant to the proposed work. 7. Any additional information or qualifications relevant to the proposed work. Interested firms must submit a “Letter of Qualification” to Kelsey Tucker, Transportation Planning Manager, Regional Intergovernmental Council, 315 D Street, South Charleston, WV 25303 prior to 4:00 p.m. on November 4, 2022.
