REQUESTING SEALED BIDS The Clay County Health Department is seeking sealed bids from interested truck hauling companies to provide hauling of recyclable materials from specific locations in the Clay County area. Through funding provided by WV DEP’s REAP program, the Clay County Health Department will work with the winning vendor to transport plastic recycling containers for schools and selected locations in the county to a recycling center in Kanawha County. Interested vendors are to submit sealed bids to the Clay County Health Department no later than February 18, 2023, by mail: PO Box 36 Clay, WV 25043. All mileage, fuel charges, or any miscellaneous charges must be included in bid proposals. The Clay County Health Department reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Specifications equirements: Winning vendor must have a truck with hauling and dumping capabilities. Pick up sites will be located at each of the schools in the county along with the recycling center located at 276 Procious Maysel Rd, Clay, WV. Clay Recycling Center will be a drop off location for the public. Winning vendor will be responsible for the pick up and hauling of plastic recyclables from Clay County locations to the Charleston area. Winning vendor will be required to perform these duties twice per month or more as necessary to keep recyclable waste to a reasonable minimum. Load requirements: there will be 6x tilt truck bins with 1500 lb, 1 Cu. Yd. capacities, 1 at each school; 3x 36 gallon canopy recycling containers located at the Clay Recycling Center Winning vendor must ensure that the load is secured prior to departure.
