LEGAL NOTICE July 21, 2023 The West Virginia Health Care Authority announced that it has received a Letter of Intent from Mountain Health Network & University Physicians & Surgeons, Inc., CON File #23-ONE-HALF3/8-12742-A , for MHN to become the sole member of Cabell Huntington Hospital, Inc., St. Mary’s Medical Center, Inc., Pleasant Valley Hospital, Inc., and UPS. When MHN becomes the sole member of UPS, the UPS practice sites to become ambulatory health care facilities located in Boone, Cabell, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mingo, Putnam, and Wayne counties in WV. UPS to employ or contract for the physicians and other licensed health care practitioners currently employed by CHH, SMMC, and PVH or related physician practice companies both on the hospitals’ campuses and at up to 25 ambulatory health care facilities in Cabell, Lincoln, Putnam, Mason, and Wayne counties. This involves a member substitution and no cash will change hands. The capital expenditure is $559,750,000.
