EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST AND STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS FROM QUALIFIED ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTING FIRMS The Capital Sports Center Development Association, Inc is accepting Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering and architectural consulting firms detailing the firm’s Capital Sports Center Project. The Commission seeks professional services to explore the following: At its current conceptual stage, the proposed Capital Sports Center may include an aquatic center, basketball courts, volleyball courts, an indoor turf field, pickleball courts, climbing walls, a fitness center, and an elevated running track. This is the development stage, and additional items could be added, or some things could be excluded. Professional services sought may include but are not limited to, preliminary and general engineering services, cost estimates, architecture and design services, cost estimates, architecture and design services, site renderings, surveying, permitting, preparation of construction plans and technical specifications, bidding and contracting assistance, including evaluation of bids, construction administration services, and construction observation services. Procurement of said services will be in accordance with Chapter 5G-1-3 of the WV Code. Interested firms must submit five (5) copies of the requested information and a digital copy to the Kanawha County Commission Purchasing Office no later than August 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in order to receive consideration. Faxed or electronically submitted proposals will not be accepted. The proposed project(s) may be undertaken with a variety of federal, state, and local funds. All work will be performed in accordance with the applicable regulations. The Capital Sports Center Development Association, Inc. shall evaluate the statements of qualifications, performance data, and other material submitted by interested firms and select a minimum of three firms that, in its opinion, are best qualified to perform the desired services. Interviews with each chosen firm will be conducted, which will include discussions regarding anticipated concepts and proposed methods of approach.
