NOTICE OF INFORMATIONAL PUBLIC MEETING OF HUNTINGTON SANITARY BOARD The Huntington Sanitary Board will hold an informational Public Meeting regarding the West Virginia Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades Project in accordance with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund requirements. The meeting will be held during the Huntington Sanitary Board monthly meeting at the Huntington City Hall, 800 5th Ave, Huntington, WV 25701, at 9:30 AM on October 24, 2023. The proposed project will provide the first significant upgrade for the WWTP since 1986, expanding the treatment capacity of the WWTP and allowing the facility to meet EPA-EP permit requirements. The WWTP Upgrade Project includes the design, acquisition, construction, and equipping of additions, betterments, and improvements to the WWTP, specifically including, but not limited to new headworks, removal of existing primary clarifiers, new and expanded aeration system, new final clarifiers, new sludge handling system, new disinfectant system, and new administrative aboratory building.
