Prindle Field Improvements Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District, Cabell County, West Virginia ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS To Whom It May Concern: Sealed proposals for the Prindle Field Improvements Project will be received by the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District (OWNER), located at Shop #l 210 11th Street, Huntington, WV., 25701, until 2 pm local prevailing time on February 9, 2024, at which time and place all accepted bids will be privately opened. After opening, the bids will be compared as to quality, thoroughness, and cost by the Owner. A notice of award will be made public within 2 weeks of the bid opening. Bids are being solicited for all the work on the project. The Work of this Project includes the following general elements: Phase One of the project includes construction of new sidewalks, basketball courts, trails, site furnishings, general area lightings, preparation of a challenge course (playground), dog park, and stormwater and utility improvements for the 4+ acre parcel owned by the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District. All other improvements as identified in the plans and specifications A Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on, January 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District’s Office located at Shop #1 210 11th Street, Huntington, WV., 25701. All prime bidders are required to attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. A site visit walkthrough with the OWNER will be held immediately after the mandatory pre-bid meeting for those wishing to familiarize themselves with the site. Answers to technical questions and associated addenda will be issued no later than 5:00 pm January 30, 2024. Bidding Documents may be obtained by one of the following methods: 1. Bidders will be provided access to a drop box folder and can download bid documents in the form of PDF files at no charge. Request for access to documents must be made by email, and any requests received through mail, telephone fax, fax transmission, or other online communications will not receive a response. 2. Hard copies may be obtained from Charleston Blueprint (304-343-1063) by general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing and binding and mailing however such cost or nonrefundable. Bid Documents may also be examined at the viewing depositories listed in the Bidding Documents A certified check or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract sum within 10 days of the contract award. All General Contractors shall include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form and be licensed in the Stale of WV prior to submitting a bid in accordance Chapter 21, Article 11, of the WV Code.
