NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Sisson-Sissonville portion of its 34 kilovolt distribution system in Kanawha County, WV. On or about Monday, Februsary 5th, 2024 a helicopter will begin trimming trees away from power lines. A ground crew will follow to remove trimmings from streams, roads, and maintained areas. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas cuttings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation. Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are Rt. 21, Grapevine Rd, Derricks Creek Rd, Legg Fork,1st and 2nd creek roads, White Oak Dr.and other adjoining taps from these major roads. Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
