NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR DEVELOPER QUALIFICATIONS The Mason County Development Authority (“MCDA”) is soliciting proposals from private sector developers for a public-private partnership to create a mixed-use commercial development in Mason County, West Virginia (the “Project”). The Project will be located on the former site of the Town of Henderson at the intersection of U.S. Route 35 and State Route 2, directly across the Kanawha River from the City of Point Pleasant. The Site is expected to have, following site development, approximately forty (40) developable acres, with access to public water and sewer, electric and natural gas service. The MCDA envisions the Project as the “first choice” location for travelers on U.S. Route 35 to stop for respite and the premier shopping, dining, and lodging center in the area to serve such travelers and the local population. The MCDA desires to identify, select and collaborate with an experienced commercial developer which will acquire the Site and develop a commercial mixed-use development. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the Request for Developer Qualifications from the MCDA, phone number 304-675-1497. Questions shall be directed to John Musgrave, Executive Director, phone number 304-675-1497. Responses to the Request for Developer Qualifications are due by 4:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2024.
