L E G A L Notice is hereby given that on the 27th day of January, 2020, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the Council of the City of Huntington, in Council Chambers, at City Hall, Huntington, WV, proposes to finally vote on the adoption of an ordinance, the subject matter of which is as follows: #2020-O-01 – AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THAT THE ISSUE OF THE AUTHORIZATION OF ADDITIONAL LEVIES, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING SUFFICIENT LOCAL FUNDING TO THE TRI-STATE TRANSIT AUTHORITY TO CONTINUE BUS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON, BE SUBMITTED TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON, IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD IN CABELL AND WAYNE COUNTIES, WEST VIRGINIA, ON TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2020 AND DIRECTING THE OFFICERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE AND FILE THIS ORDINANCE WITH THE RECORDS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE ORDER SUBMITTING THE ISSUE TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON AT THE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MAY 12, 2020 Such ordinance is filed in the City Clerk’s office, Room 16, City Hall, Huntington, WV, where the same may be inspected by the public, and interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.
