The Cabell County Commission will accept sealed bids for a New CCEMS Station #3 until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Cabell County Commission Office in the Cabell County Courthouse, Room 300 at 750 5th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids submitted by United States Postal Service must be mailed to: Cabell County Commission, 750 5th Avenue Room 300, Huntington, WV 25701. If bids are submitted by postal or other delivery services, they must arrive prior to the time stated above. All Prime Bidders are required to attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on April 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. local standard time at the Cabell County EMS Headquarters Training Room, 846 8th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701. Attendance is mandatory and bids from Prime Bidders who fail to attend will be disqualified. The Scope of the work includes construction of a new 12,000 SF EMS Station. The new facility will be a CMU loadbearing structure, with a brick veneer, bar joists roof structure and EPDM membrane. Site work includes a concrete parking lot, access drives and perimeter property fence. Bid forms and Contract Documents for this project are available at C&B Blueprint, located at 824 6th Street, Huntington, WV 25701, free of charge upon receipt of a refundable deposit, by cash, in the amount of $250.00 for one set, partial sets will not be made available. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security, including all add alternates, in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount. Bid Bond form is included in Project Manual. Bidders will be required to provide a Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond each equal to one hundred percent of the Contract amount. Bonds forms are included in Project Manual. Bidders will be required to complete the work (substantial completion) within 365 days calendar days for the notice to proceed date. If a delay occurs in the completion of the work, the successful bidder shall pay the Owner liquidated damages equal to $500 for each calendar day until the project is substantially completed. Submit bid offer on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission, although the Owner intends to award a contract within 30 days of the bid date.
