ADVERTISEMENT FOR DEMOLITION PROPOSALS: INDUSTRIAL BUILDING IN SPENCER WEST VIRGINIA Project: Demolition of Industrial Facility Location: 225 Oak Drive, Spencer, WV Overview: We are seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for the safe and efficient demolition of a deteriorated section of an industrial building. The section of the building is no longer in use and poses safety risks. Our goal is to clear the site for future development. Scope of Work: 1. Demolition Plan: Provide a detailed plan outlining the demolition process, including safety measures, equipment, and timeline. 2. Site Preparation: Obtain all necessary permits, clear the area around the building, remove debris, and secure utilities. 3. Structural Demolition: Safely dismantle the building, including removal of hazardous materials. 4. Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of debris and hazardous materials. 5. Site Restoration: Level the ground and restore the site to a safe condition. Proposal Submission: Interested contractors should submit their proposals by May 20, 2024. Contract is to be awarded on a lump sum basis. All consultants interested in being considered for this project should submit a brief proposal detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities and related prior experience. The goal of the competitive procurement process is to objectively select the firm who will provide the highest quality of service at a realistic fee. Accordingly, technical qualifications and related prior experience will be weighed heavily. Selected respondents may be interviewed. Please submit three copies of all requested information to Mark Whitley, Executive Director, Roane County Economic Development Authority, PO Box 1, Spencer, WV 25276 by the close of business on May 20, 2024. The selected firm will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246, Conflict of Interest Statement and Access to Records provisions. Alternative Federal and State funding requirements may also apply. The Roane County Economic Development Authority will afford full opportunity for minority and women-owned business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to the invitation and will not discriminate against any firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap status or national origin in the contract award.
