WYOMING COUNTY COURTHOUSE STAIR AND SIDEWALK RESTORATION MAY 2024 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Wyoming County Commission will be receiving bids at the Wyoming County Courthouse, County Clerk’s Office, c Jewell Aguilar, P.O. Box 309, Pineville, WV 24874, for the Wyoming County Courthouse Stair and Sidewalk Restoration Project and the Wyoming County Courthouse Railing Exterior Stair Railings Project, until 3:00 P.M., L.P.T., July 2, 2024. Bids for the projects will be combined and submitted in sealed envelopes, marked “Courthouse Stair and Sidewalk Restoration, Sealed Bid”. Bids will be opened at 10:00 A.M., L.P.T., July 3, 2024. The total base bid price for the contract shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Forms of Proposal, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, and Plans and Detail Specifications. The work to be bid upon is described as follows, but not limited to: 1. Wyoming County Courthouse Stair and Sidewalk Restoration, dated May 2024, as prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Cleaning and repointing of historic grand steps to the Courthouse and of associated concrete sidewalks, repair and replacement of stone steps including stone mortar repairs, dutchmen, and replacement of steps with matching stone. Alternates include additional cleaning of stone walls around the Courthouse grounds and cleaning of a marble statue. The project also includes any incidental construction as needed and described in the construction documents. All work will be in accordance with the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Historic Treatment of Historic Properties. 2. Wyoming County Courthouse Exterior Stair Railings, dated May 2024, as prepared by Alpha Associates. Provide and install aluminum railings at subsequently restored and repaired Courthouse steps, side steps and elevated sidewalk Construction time limit is 120 calendar days.
