NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES WATERSHED PLANNING DUE MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2024 The Kanawha County Commission is seeking to retain a West Virginia Licensed Firm to provide services for Watershed Planning and the development of a Watershed Plan- Environmental Assessment for the Elk River Watershed. The Elk River Watershed includes the Lower Elk Creek Watershed (HUC 0505000709), the Big Sandy Watershed (HUC 0505000707), and the Blue Creek Watershed (HUC 0505000708). The three watersheds will be the starting place to evaluate potential flood prevention and resiliency measures, watershed protection, recreational opportunities, and other concerns. Upon evaluation of the criteria contained within the Scope of Work, the selected Contractor will work with the Kanawha County Commission and NRCS to determine the final geographic scope of the project plan and watershed plan-ea. All firms interested in being considered must submit a proposal detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management, and staffing capabilities, related prior experience, and explanation of firm’s current errors and omissions insurance coverage. To be considered for award firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (https:/sam.gov). A competitive evaluation process will objectively select qualified firms for discussions to include Scope-of-Work and Estimated Probable Costs in order to establish a contract for the highest quality of service at a realistic fee. Accordingly, technical qualifications and experience will be weighed heavily.
