THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WILLIAMSON REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS ARCHITECTURAL f%] ENGINEERING SERVICES The Housing Authority of the City of Williamson is requesting qualified Architect ngineers who are currently registered in the State of West Virginia to submit Statement of Qualifications to provide design and construction services for our Capital Fund Program. The contract is dependent on the availability of federal funds. To be considered responsive the proposals must include the following: 1. Evidence of the architect ngineer’s or firms ability to perform the work as indicated by profiles of the principals’ and staffs’ professional and technical competence and experience. 2. Capability to provide professional services in a timely manner. 3. Evidence that, where design work is involved, the architect ngineer is currently registered in the State of WV. 4. Past performance in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules. 5. Knowledge of local building codes. 6. A certified statement that the architect ngineer firm is not debarred, suspended or otherwise prohibited from professional practice by State, Federal and local agencies. 7. Other factors, such as Indian Preference requirements, determined to be appropriate by the Housing Authority. Scope of Work Work includes but is not limited to the modernization of 36 public housing units (five town house apartment buildings) and replacement of elevators in a nine-story high-rise. Professional services needed include: 1. Prepare plans and specifications for individual units, if required, for the bathroom furnishings, sewer line replacements, drywall, paint, electrical, tile, plumbing, interior doors, kitchen renovations, and any other modernization needed as to ensure completed work meets HUD standards. Evaluate elevators to determine if replacement or modernization is needed and draft plans and specifications, overseeing work through conclusion. 2. Assist the Executive Director and make recommendations in the areas project coordination. 3. Conduct on-site inspections during construction and final inspection of all work done.
