NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF A VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE REHABILITATION OF ABOUT 280 LINEAL FEET OF THE EXISTING 72-INCH STORMWATER SYSTEM EXTENDING FROM KUHN STREET ALONG TANYARD BRANCH THROUGH A PORTION OF THE SKATE PARK FACILITY OF THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE AND THE APPROVING THE USE OF ARPA AND CITY SALES AND USE TAX FUND MONIES TO PAY FOR THE TANYARD BRANCH STORM DRAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT IN BARBOURSVILLE, CABELL COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES RELATED THERETO. AUTHORITY UNDER the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended – Notice is hereby given by the Village of Barboursville, West Virginia, that it will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 7:15 pm at City Hall, Council Chambers, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504. The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the Village of Barboursville’s proposed Ordinance, the principal object of which is authorizing the construction of extensions, additions, betterments and improvements to the stormwater system of the Village of Barboursville by the rehabilitation of about 280 lineal feet of the existing 72-inch stormwater system extending from Kuhn Street along Tanyard Branch through a portion of the skate park facility, within the territorial limits of the Village of Barboursville; authorizing eligible American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) monies to be used to pay for the Project, and if needed, City Sales and Use Tax Fund monies be used to pay a portion of the Project, and such other terms as in the Ordinance; and at such hearing all objections and suggestions shall be heard, any interested person will be afforded the opportunity to submit data, views or arguments, orally or in writing to the Village, and the Village of Barboursville council shall then take such action as it shall deem proper upon an Ordinance titled: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE REHABILITATION OF ABOUT 280 LINEAL FEET OF THE EXISTING 72-INCH STORMWATER SYSTEM EXTENDING FROM KUHN STREET ALONG TANYARD BRANCH THROUGH A PORTION OF THE SKATE PARK FACILITY OF THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE AND THE APPROVING THE USE OF ARPA AND CITY SALES AND USE TAX FUND MONIES TO PAY FOR THE TANYARD BRANCH STORM DRAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT IN BARBOURSVILLE, CABELL COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES RELATED THERETO The information gathered and presented at this public hearing will be utilized by the Village in its discussion and determination on whether to adopt the Ordinance and approve the Project. The Village of Barboursville proposed Ordinance will be available for public inspection in the City Hall, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Written comments may be mailed to Rachel Patton, Recorder, Village of Barboursville, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, WV 25504. Written comments must be received no later than October 15, 2024, to be considered. A first reading of the Ordinance will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in City Hall, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 7:15 pm, in City Hall, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504. A second reading and vote on the Ordinance will take place immediately after the public hearing at the regularly scheduled Council meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
