NOTICE TO BIDDERS The proposed project is the removal of a small grass area near the West Edge Warehouse and its redesigned installation as a “Rain Garden”. The project will also include a slight widening of a small gravel alleyway adjacent to the site and installation of a new concrete curb. The area to be redesigned is approximately 5,500 SF and will include new gravel walkways, landscape plants, lawn areas, river cobble, light poles, site grading, and drainage piping to properly function as a “Rain Garden”. Additionally, selective demolition of an existing sanitary sewer line and transplanting of existing trees on site will be required. The Owner will be occupying adjacent areas within the building and will be self- performing ongoing work concurrent with this scope. Final bids will be received by Coalfield Development until 5:00 pm, local prevailing time, Thursday, October 24, 2024 in accordance with the Notice to Bidders. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the project site (819 Vernon St., Huntington, WV). The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The drawings will be available beginning Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The written questions must be submitted via email to Julie Doerr at [email protected] no later than 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with response back to the contractors no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024. A performance bond executed by a surety company acceptable to Coalfield Development in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid, to guarantee the Bidder’s entrance into a Contract, if given the award. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he he has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed.
