L E G A L Notice is hereby given that on November 12, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the Council of the City of Huntington, in City Council Chambers, 800 5th Avenue, Huntington, WV (location is tentative, check with City Clerk prior to the meeting to confirm), proposes to finally vote on the adoption of an ordinance, the subject matter of which is as follows: 2024-O-35 – AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE REFUNDING OF THE OUTSTANDING SEWER REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2015 A (TAX EXEMPT), THE OUTSTANDING SEWER REFUNDING REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2022 A, AND THE OUTSTANDING STORMWATER REFUNDING BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE, SERIES 2023, OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA (THE “CITY”) THROUGH THE ISSUANCE BY THE CITY OF NOT MORE THAN $16,000,000 IN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF COMBINED SEWER AND STORMWATER SYSTEM REFUNDING REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2024 A (TAX EXEMPT); PROVIDING FOR THE RIGHTS AND REMEDIES OF, AND THE SECURITY FOR, THE REGISTERED OWNERS OF SUCH BONDS, AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF A PRELIMINARY OFFICIAL STATEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT, AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT, AND CONTINUING DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT AND OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE BONDS; AND ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS WITH RESPECT TO SUCH BONDS Such ordinance is filed in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 135, City Hall, 800 5th Ave., Huntington, WV, where the same may be inspected by the public, and interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
