ADVERTISEMENT TO BID Sealed bids for the Salt Rock Sewer Public Service District’s Sanitary Sewer Service for Fox Fire Resort project will be received by the Salt Rock Sewer Public Service District, 419 Padero Drive, Ona, West Virginia 25545, until 2:30 PM, LPT, on December 17, 2024 for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Bidding Documents prepared by Potesta & Associates, Inc., and all addenda issued prior to receipt of Bids. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of this project will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Approximately 15 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer line. Approximately 60 linear feet of 11/2-inch force main. One grinder pump station, valve vault and flow meter. Other sanitary sewer components, including manholes. Tree and other object removal. Fencing. Other work items. Construction time limit for the Contract is 165 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion, of which 35 consecutive calendar days is actual in-field construction. The successful low bidder will be provided four (4) complete sets of plans and specifications at no additional cost after the contract has been signed. Any additional plans or specifications that are requested will be provided at a cost of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each set of plans and seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each set of specifications. Payment by either cash or check must be made upon delivery. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Salt Rock Sewer Public Service District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the offices of the Salt Rock Sewer Public Service District, 419 Padero Drive, Ona, West Virginia 25545, on December 4, 2024 at 2:30 PM. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The Salt Rock Sewer Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. Bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order Nos. 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, Section 3 Segregated Facilities, Section 109 and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. This shall be done in compliance with the six (6) affirmative steps as outlined in 40 CFR 33.240. Failure to demonstrate positive efforts to do so may lead to rejection of bids. For this program, the term “subcontract” includes all construction, modification, and service work contracted for by the bidder in the execution of the work under this contract. Prospective Bidders are advised that the contract awarded under this bid is to be funded in whole or in part by Congressional Directed Spending, the West Virginia Infrastructure & Jobs Development Council, State of West Virginia Community Project Funding, and the Salt Rock Sewer Public Service District.
