NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY (Coal Fork (1 Parcel) United Methodist Church) Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after November 30, 2024 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to Red Dog Property Rentals, LLC all that certain lot or parcel of land together with the improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying on the northeast side of the County Road on Campbells Creek, in Malden District, Kanawha County, West Virginia, and being known, numbered and designated as Lot No. 4 of the partition of the six-acre tract conveyed to Dan Wills by Deed dated February 21, 1927, of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Kanawha County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 310, Page 157, the property hereby conveyed being more particularly bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at a stake near a gate post in front line original survey, and leaving said line N. 25 15′ 511-1/2 feet to a stake in back line of original survey, and with it S. 68 57′ W. 236-l/2 feet to a stake, a corner to the Charles Wills lot; Thence leaving said back line and down the hill and crossing the bottom S 14 24′ W. to the Walker lot and near his line, in all, 437 feet to Edward Walker’s front upper corner in original front line and with it reversed S. 67 3′ E. 109-1/2 feet to place of beginning; There is, however, excepted from this conveyance that certain lot embraced within the boundaries hereinbefore described, which excepted lot fronts fifty (50) feet on the northeast side of said County Road and extends back between parallel lines five hundred and eleven (511) feet, more or less, to the back line of the original survey, the excepted parcel being situate in the easterly part of the tract hereinbefore described. And being the same property conveyed from Frederick L. Wills and Louise C. Wills, his wife, to Trustees of the United Methodist Church by Corrective Deed dated August 12, 1971 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Kanawha County, West Virginia in Deed Book 1635, at Page 4, reference to which is hereby made. Said Coal Fork United Methodist Church was declared closed effective on July 1, 2024 by a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
