NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the St. Albans-Dry Ridge portion of its 12-kilovolt distribution system in Kanawha and Lincoln Counties, WV. On or about February 10th, 2025, contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and consider factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas cuttings will remain on site to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation. Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are: Dry Ridge Rd., Smith Creek Rd., Jesse Fork Rd., Hudson Valley Rd., Rocky Moore Rd., Coal River Rd., Green Valley Dr., Maple Ln., Thomas Hollow Rd., Edgewater Ln., Gore Addition Rd., Upper Gore Addition Rd., Cantrell Ln., Buckner Rd., Colt Rd., Whitt Coll Rd., Island Creek Rd., and Spruce Rd. Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
