NOTICE PROPERTY FOR SALE BY BID BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AERONAUTICS COMMISSION In accordance with provision of Chapter 29, Article 2A, Section 8 , of the Official Code of West Virginia , the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Aeronautics Commission, hereinafter called Commission, hereby gives notice that it will offer for sale by the competitive written bidding process, the parcel listed below, the hereinafter described real property, that is part of Ripley District Map 13, Parcel 9.1, Jackson County, West Virginia located off Castle Road outside the City of Ripley, Jackson County WV and described as follows, To-wit: Beginning at a point 200 feet right or south of Station 25 + 25; thence S. 84 45′ E. 275 feet; thence N. 05 15′ E. 272 feet; thence S. 09 00′ E. 195 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.51 acres, more or less. Written bids must be expressed in monetary terms; must be in an amount no less than the current appraised fair market value of Two Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,750.00); and must contain the name and contact information of the bidder. Bids must be received at the Commission Office, Building 5, Room A-129, 1900 Kanawha Blvd., E., Charleston, WV 25305, not later than 2:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Mailed bids or hand-carried bids are the only two acceptable means of bid placement. Note: please write “Jackson Parcel Bid” on the lower left of the envelope. The Commission will hold at its Office a public opening of all bids on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 2:30 PM. Thereafter, all bid proposals will be reviewed.
