LEGAL PUBLICATION The Clay County Deputy Sheriff’s Civil Service Commission will be accepting applications for examination for entry level Deputy Sheriff. Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for employment: Be at least 18 years of age nor more than 45 years of age Physically capable of passing agility test Score at least 65% on the written examination All applicants subject to background investigation All applicants subject to psychological evaluation Provide copy of Valid Driver’s License Authorization for Release of Information and Statement of Consent must be notarized Applications may be received by contacting the Clay County Clerk’s Office (304-587-4259). Applications may be returned by mail; however, they must be RECEIVED in the Clay County Clerk’s Office by April 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. Applications may be mailed to the Clay County Deputy Sheriff’s Civil Service Commission, c/o Clay County Clerk, P.O.
