PUBLIC NOTICE FOR THE 2021-2024 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) DEVELOPMENT The KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission is notifying the public of the update to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Fiscal Years 2021-2024. Comments on projects in the Draft 2021-2024 TIP will be accepted during a 30-day comment period from February 7, 2020 through March 7, 2020. The TIP is the region’s (Huntington Urbanized Area WV-KY-OH) short-term program of projects scheduled to receive federal transportation funds over the next four years. The TIP is used by KYOVA to plan and program highway, public transit, waterway, air, rail, bicycle, pedestrian, and other economic recovery projects within the KYOVA Planning Area which includes Cabell and Wayne counties, West Virginia; Boyd and Greenup counties, Kentucky; and the urbanized area of Lawrence County, Ohio. KYOVA will follow the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT’s) Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) development schedule. A listing of the projects is included in the draft 2021 2024 TIP document and will also be available at the KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission office located at 400 Third Avenue Huntington, WV 25701 and on the KYOVA website at www.kyovaipc.org.
