INVITATION FOR BIDS The Mingo County Commission, 78 East 2nd Ave, Room 308, Williamson, Mingo County, West Virginia is seeking sealed bids from qualified trucking companies for the purpose of hauling flood debris associated with the Feb. 15-16, 2025 flooding event (FEMA Disaster Declaration 4861) to Big Run Landfill, 1837 River Cities Drive, Ashland, Kentucky. Bids must be based on tonnage to load and haul the debris to the landfill. Bids will be accepted by hand delivery to Grants Coordinator/Project Manager Leigh Ann Ray at her office located on the third floor of the Mingo County Courthouse, Room 308-B, or by U.S. mail addressed as follows: Nathan Brown, Mingo County Commission president; Attention: Leigh Ann Ray; 78 East Second Ave., Room 308-B, Williamson, WV 25661. Bids will be accepted until noon, Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Mingo County Commission regular meeting session scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April, 2025. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope “BIDDER – DEBRIS HAULING.” All bidders will be required to provide proof of a valid, active West Virginia business license as well as all required permits and insurances. The Mingo County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities on the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days of after the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder will enter into a contract agreeable to the Mingo County Commission.
