NOTICE OF STRIPING & SEALING OF PARKING AREAS The Mingo County Board of Education will receive sealed bids by written proposal for the striping and sealing of parking lots at all Mingo County School District facilities. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on May 28th, 2025, and must be mailed or delivered to: Mingo County Schools District Office 110 Cinderella Road Williamson, WV 25661 The sealed envelope must be clearly marked “Sealing and Striping” and addressed to: Beth Daniels, Treasurer/CSBO Bid Requirements All bidders must submit the following with their bid: A valid Business Registration Certificate from the West Virginia State Tax Department A valid West Virginia Contractor’s License Proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance A valid bid bond or cashier’s check equal to 5% of the total bid amount, payable to Mingo County Schools Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at: 9:00 a.m. on May 20th, 2025 Kermit PK8 School 300 Blue Devil Lane Kermit, WV 25674 After reviewing the scope of work at Kermit PK8, participants will travel to all other district locations to review expectations at each site. Any vendor who leaves before completing the site visits will be disqualified from bidding. Bonding Requirements The successful vendor will be required to provide the following prior to contract execution: 1. Performance Bond (obtained after award) – 100% of the total contract amount, guaranteeing the faithful completion of work per contract specifications. 2. Bid Bond/Cashier’s Check (submitted with bid) – 5% of total bid, ensuring the contractor will honor their bid and begin work in a timely manner. All bonds must be issued by a licensed surety company authorized to do business in West Virginia and must be acceptable to Mingo County Schools. Bonding costs must be included in the bidder’s proposal.
