GLENVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY PIONEER WAY IMPROVEMENTS – HANDRAILS & LIGHTS RFB 25-004PWI PIONEER WAY IMPROVEMENTS METAL GUARDS/ HANDRAILS LIGHTS & WIRING SECTION 001113 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that Glenville State University will accept sealed bids for the PIONEER WAY IMPROVEMENTS – HANDRAILS & LIGHTS project, located at 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia. The project involves fabrication and installation of new metal guards and handrails along exterior pedestrian stairs, ramps, and pathways in the “Pioneer Way” public plaza. Installation of site lighting fixtures and wiring is also included. Sealed bids will be received by the Glenville State University on or before 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. Sealed bids may be delivered to Glenville State University, Attn: Clay Chesser, 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia, 26351. Bidders may also hand-deliver sealed bids at the Bid Opening, within 30 minutes prior to deadline. All sealed bids will be opened and read aloud at the Waco Center, Land Resources Library, 921 Mineral Road, Glenville, WV 26351. Interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening. Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Beginning May 8th, prospective bidders may purchase copies of Bidding Documents (hard copy and digital documents) from the Architect. Cost of Bidding Documents is $50 per set, plus any shipping and handling fees. These are non-refundable fees. Thursday, May 15th, 2025. at the project site located at 200 High Street, Glenville, West Virginia. ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED. The meeting will include reviewing the drawings and the project site. A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid must be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be also be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds signed by a West Virginia agent. Bids will be made on a lump sum basis. Neither US Department of Labor Wage Rates, nor West Virginia Division of Labor Wage Rates apply to this project. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of bid opening without the consent of the Owner.
