ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WILLIAMSON SHRIVER ARCHITECTS PROJECT #2024-046 The Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Department, Chesapeake, WV will receive bids A New Fire Station for Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Department until 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time on 11th day of July, 2025, at the Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Station, 12408 McCorkle Avenue, Charleston, WV, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference for General Construction, has been scheduled for the 24th day of June, 2025, at Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Station, 12408 McCorkle Avenue, Charleston, WV. A site visit will be conducted following the meeting. The contract documents are available only from the architect’s Project Management Website. Login credentials will be sent to plan rooms, all prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers after the request is made to [email protected] Addenda will be only distributed electronically to bidders registered in attendance at the mandatory pre-bid meeting. This project is federally funded, in part, therefore each Bidder must comply with the REQUIRED CONTRACT PROVISIONS FOR NON-FEDERAL ENTITY CONTRACTS UNDER FEDERAL AWARDS – APPENDIX II TO 2 CFR, PART 200. Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to award of contract. Each Bidder that has a registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each Bidder’s Contractor license number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal. The Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Department, Chesapeake, WV reserves the right to reject any or all bids. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Chesapeake Volunteer Fire Department, shall be submitted with each Bid along with the State of West Virginia Purchasing Affidavit, and the Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit. Each (The) successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and the fee for same shall be included in their bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days.
