ORDER OF PUBLICATION IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF MINGO COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA CIVIL ACTION NO.: 25-CIG-11 CASANDRA CHAMPAGNE, as Next Friend of the Infant, HUNTER CHASE ROBERT LANE, PETITIONER. THE OBJECT OF THIS PETITION IS TO OBTAIN GUARDIANSHIP. On this day came Petitioner, Casandra Champagne as Next Friend of the Infant, Hunter Chase Robert Layne, otherwise known as Petitioner by Counsel, Greg K. Smith and Barry C. Marcum of the Law Office of Greg K. Smith, PLLC, and moved the Court to allow her to file her Petition for Guardianship pursuant to West Virginia Code 48-10-3, et seq., It is Ordered that a hearing on the matter and things set forth in said Petition shall be heard in open Court on the 4th day of August, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., before the Honorable Sabrina Deskins, Judge of the Family Court of Mingo County, West Virginia. It is further ORDERED that Petitioner shall publish notice of the time and place for the Petition for Guardianship in a Class I Legal advertisement in compliance with Article three, Chapter fifty-nine of the West Virginia Code. Said publication shall take Place at least ten days before the scheduled hearing in this matter and shall contain a provision that the hearing may be rescheduled without further notice of publication.
