NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY (JUSTICE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH) Notice is hereby given that Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after December 17, 2025 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to John Arnold Simpson, all of their right, title and interest in and to the following described lots or parcels of land, lying in Stafford District, Mingo County, West Virginia, and bounded and described as follows, to-wit: PARCEL ONE Being 1/2 of Lot No. 45, and Lot No. 46 in Block 3 in the town of Justice, Mingo Co., W.Va. And being the same property conveyed to the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church-South of Justice from L. S. Justice and W. E. Justice, by Deed dated May 18, 1912 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Mingo County, West Virginia in Deed Book 27, at Page 201, reference to which is hereby made. PARCEL TWO Beginning at a stake in the outside line of Main Street in said Justice City, directly opposite the South Eastern corner of Lot No. 43 of Block No. 3 of said Justice City, and running in a Western direction with outside line of said Main Street about 100 feet to a stake in the Blankenship line; thence in a Southern direction with said Blankenship line 34 feet to a stake: thence in an Eastern direction 100 feet with The Virginian Railway Co’s line to a stake; thence in a Northern direction 24 feet to the beginning, making a lot approximately 30 X 100 feet. And being the same property conveyed to Trustees for the Justice United Methodist Church of Justice, from Ginger Baize by Deed dated March 22, 2002 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 386, at page 561, reference to which is hereby made. Said Justice United Methodist Church was closed effective November 21, 2024 by resolution of a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
