NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW Notice is hereby given that the County Commission of Webster County, West Virginia, will be in session at the Webster County Courthouse of said County on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. for the purpose of reviewing and equalizing the assessments of said County as made by the Assessor thereof, the County Commission will continue in session on the following days : Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. ; Monday, February 9, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. ; Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. and Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. The Land and Personal Property Books of said County for the tax year 2025 will be open for inspection. The Commission shall correct all errors in the names of persons, in the description and valuation of property, and they shall cause to be done whatever else may be necessary to make the assessed valuations comply with the provisions of the law. But in no case shall any question of classification or taxability be considered or reviewed. Any person failing to apply for relief at these sessions, or does not elect for the matter to be heard in the fall of the tax year when the county commission meets as a board of assessment appeals, shall have waived his or her right to ask for correction in his or her assessment list for the current year, and shall not thereafter be permitted to question the correctness of his or her list as finally fixed by the county commission, except on appeal to the circuit court .
