NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Midkiff-Four Mile Creek Rd. portion of its 34kV distribution system in Lincoln and Wayne Counties in WV. On or about February 18th, 2026, contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way. Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and take into account factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc. In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, cuttings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation. Rights-of-way in this area expected to be involved in the program are the entire Midkiff-Four Mile Creek Road circuit including: 10 Mile Creek, 10 Mile Ridge, 4 Mile Creek Road, Kentuck Fork, Left Fork 4 Mile Creek Road, Napier Fork Road, 14 Mile Creek Road, State Route 37, Cove Creek Road, 12 Pole Creek, Lick Creek Road, Fall Branch Road, Beech Fork Road, Tiger Fork Road, Pensons Branch Road, Shingles Branch Road, Left Fork Miller Fork, Little Lynn Creek Road, Right Fork Little Lynn Creek Road, Camp Creek Road, Right Fork Camp Creek Road. Representatives will attempt to personally contact resident property owners at least seven business days prior to working on their property.
