NOTICE At a meeting held on April 21, 2026, the Town Council of Gilbert approved, on first reading, an Ordinance amending and modifying Chapter 35, Sections 19, 20 and 25 of its Code to reduce the Business and Occupation Tax rate for certain classes. In accordance with 8-11-4(a)(2), of the West Virginia Code, notice is hereby given that the Town of Gilbert’s Business & Occupation Tax Reduction Ordinance will be available for public inspection starting April 22, 2026, at Gilbert Town Hall, located 5 Wharncliffe Avenue, Gilbert, WV 25621. A second reading regarding the Business & Occupation Reduction Ordinance by the Gilbert Town Council will be held on May 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at Gilbert Town Hall (same location and address as above), at which time the public and any and all interested parties may appear at said meeting and have the opportunity to be heard prior to the second reading and potential final adoption.
